Description

Marked "MC14013BCP" on the package with Motorola's logo, this is Motorola's (now ON Semiconductor) MC14013BCP, a CMOS Dual D-Type Flip-Flop integrated circuit (part of the standard 4000 CMOS series, functionally equivalent to CD4013). Each flip-flop has independent Data (D), Clock (CLK), Set (S), and Reset (R) inputs, along with complementary outputs ($Q$ and $\bar{Q}$).

Logic states on the Data input are transferred to the $Q$ output on the positive-going edge of the clock pulse. Independent asynchronous Set and Reset inputs allow direct setting or clearing of the flip-flops regardless of the clock state.

Key Specifications

  • Type: CMOS Dual D-Type Flip-Flop IC

  • Manufacturer: Motorola / ON Semiconductor

  • Package Marking: MC14013BCP / FFE9648

  • Package: DIP-14 (14-pin dual in-line package)

  • Supply Voltage Range ($V_{DD}$): 3.0V to 18V

  • Input Voltage Range ($V_{IN}$): -0.5V to $V_{DD} + 0.5\text{V}$

  • Clock Frequency ($f_{CLK}$): Up to 16 MHz at $V_{DD} = 15\text{V}$ (typ. 8 MHz at 10V)

  • Propagation Delay Time ($t_{PLH}, t_{PHL}$): ~65 ns at $V_{DD} = 10\text{V}$

  • DC Input Current ($I_{IN}$): $\pm 10\,\mu\text{A}$ max
